- Tuareg 660 spotted testing
- Gets ADV styling
- Global debut likely in 2022
Aprilia’s third bike from its new 660cc platform – the Tuareg 660 was spotted testing in Europe. This is the second time the prototype of this middleweight bike was spotted on test.
From the spy photos, it is clear that the Italian brand has still some work to do on this motorcycle. The test mule had blacked out body panels, but it did reveal a lot of information.
To start with, the front gets the typical semi-faired off-road styled fairing that looks quite cool on the bike. There’s a decently sized windscreen too. The bike will received LED lights throughout. Then other things like spoked wheels, dual-disc brake at the front, skidplate and upswept exhaust were also spotted on this bike. In terms of power, the Tuareg 660 will get its power from the same 660cc parallel-twin motor that is seen on the RS660 and the Tuono 660. But expect this one to be tuned for better low and mid-range. The six-speed gearbox is likely to get revised gear ratios.
We are expecting this bike to make its official debut sometime next year and when it does, India is definitely going to get this bike as the top honcho of its Indian arm did confirm the RS660 launch for the country.
