- Aprilia Tuareg 660 first spy shot emerges
- Was teased at last year’s EICMA show in Milan
- Official debut might take place this year
Aprilia’s upcoming middle-weight adventure motorcycle, the Tuareg 660, has been spotted out in the open for the first time. The Italian bike maker had teased the ADV at last year’s EICMA show in Milan where it was enclosed in a glass case and hidden behind leaves, revealing barely any details.
The blur spy shot only shows the side profile of the motorcycle. Apparently, it boasted of compact and tall proportions with high ground clearance. Typical of an ADV, it was riding on large spoke wheels shod with dual-purpose tyres along with long-travel upside down forks and a monoshock. Also, there was a tall windscreen with a small fairing extending only up to half of the fuel tank. Although the styling isn’t clearly visible in the picture, expect it to sport a headlamp and tail lamp design similar to its RS660 and Tuono 660 siblings.
The Tuareg will be powered by a 660cc, parallel-twin motor which will also do duty on the RS and Tuono. In the supersport, it is tuned to churn out around 100bhp of power which could be slightly different for the ADV. Similar to other Aprilia big bikes, the feature list might also be impressive with things like cruise control, cornering ABS, traction control, multiple riding modes and a TFT screen.
Expect the international debut of the Aprilia Tuareg 660 to take place this year as a 2021 model. As for its India entry, whether it will come to our shores is hard to tell at the moment.
