Aprilia recently launched the Tuareg 660 in India, priced between Rs. 18.85 lakh to Rs.19.16 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle is available in three colour schemes – Atreides Black, Canyon Sand, and Evocative Dakar Podium.
The Atreides Black paint scheme features black bodywork and a red finish for the chassis. On the other hand, the Canyon Sand colour scheme features golden side panels, while the rest of the bodywork remains black. Meanwhile, the Evocative Dakar Podium shade gets a white finish on the front fender and fuel tank along with blue, red and black stickers.
The Aprilia Tuareg 660 is the adventure-ready version of the Tuono 660. That said, the adventure tourer is underpinned by a steel tubular frame along with a built-in sub-frame that houses the 659cc, parallel-twin engine. The motor produces a maximum output of 80bhp at 9,250rpm and a peak torque of 70Nm at 6,500rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
We expect the Tuareg 660 to be a capable off-road motorcycle as suggested by its hardware. It is suspended by 43mm full-adjustable Kayaba upside-down forks up front and a fully-adjustable Kayaba rear monoshock. The motorcycle gets 240mm wheel travel at both ends. Furthermore, the Aprilia Tuareg 660 gets electronic rider aids such as an engine brake control, traction control system, multiple riding modes, and a cruise control system.
