- Features rally-spec Kayaba suspension
- Gets performance upgrades
- Based on the rally bike that won the 2024 Africa Eco Race
Aprilia has showcased its hardcore off-roading bike, the Tuareg 660 Rally at EICMA 2024. The motorcycle is the road-legal version of the rally bike that won the 2024 Africa Eco Race earlier this year.
The Aprilia Tuareg 660 Rally features performance upgrades, making it a more capable off-road machine. It gets larger 52mm throttle bodies and an updated ECU allowing efficient fuel burning while meeting the Euro 5+ emission norms. The new ECU also offers an aggressive throttle map.
The Tuareg 660 Rally comes fitted with a SC-Project titanium exhaust for enhanced performance. The motorcycle comes with a reworked suspension setup. The fully adjustable 43mm Kayaba forks of 240mm wheel travel, while the seat height has been increased by 20mm to 880mm. The rally version ditches the tubeless spoke wheels in favour of heavy-duty Ergal spoke wheels wrapped in tube-type tyres.
The Aprilia Tuareg 660 Rally weighs five kilograms lower than the standard model with a kerb weight of 199kg. The rally version will soon go on sale in international markets. However, there’s no word on whether Aprilia will launch it in India. With the standard model priced at Rs. 18.85 lakh (ex-showroom), which is already pricey for a 660cc ADV, the rally version will demand even more premium if launched in India.
