- Powered by the same 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor
- Features LED illumination, TFT, and more
- Will rival the KTM 390 Duke, TVS Apache RTR 310 and more
Aprilia is set to launch the Tuono 457 in India very soon. We have received an invite for the same for 17 and 18 February. So, we will be riding the Tuono 457 soon and its prices will be announced around the same time. That said, here is what we already know about it.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 shares its platform with the existing RS 457. Hence, it gets the same 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor. It dishes out 47bhp and 43.5Nm of peak torque and is linked to a six-speed gearbox. We expect Aprilia to also equip the Tuono with a quick-shifter as well.
It even gets the same set of features - traction control system, ride modes, ABS, a colour TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and LED illumination all over. The Tuono 457 gets preload adjustable USD front forks and a monoshock and the braking duties are done by a single disc at both ends. These are mounted on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres. Unlike the RS, the Tuono 457 gets a roadster styling. It sports a single-piece headlight with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. The Tuono 457 is a properly naked motorcycle and has the ergonomics of one.
Unofficial bookings for the Aprilia Tuono 457 have begun and once launched, it will rival the KTM 390 Duke, TVS Apache RTR 310, and the Yamaha MT-03.
