- Likely to be launched soon
Aprilia India has listed its upcoming offering, the Tuono 457, on its website. The bike first debuted at the EICMA in November and is likely to launch in India in January. The Tuono 457 page, with most of its details, is now live on the Aprilia India website.
While the Tuono 457 is derived from the Aprilia RS457, this one is a proper roadster and comes sans fairing. Moreover, unlike the RS, the Tuono looks less sharp and aggressive. It gets an LED headlight with L-shaped DRLs and a small lip below. Aprilia will offer the Tuono 457 in two colours in India—red with black and white with silver.
Powering the Aprilia Tuono 457 will be the same 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor that we have experienced in the RS457. It makes 46.9bhp and 43.5Nm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The Tuono too could benefit from a bi-directional quickshifter.
Meanwhile, it gets LED lights, traction control, ride modes, ABS and a colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The Tuono 457 rides on preload adjustable USD front forks and a monoshock while the braking duties are done by a single disc at both ends. These are mounted on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 will rival the Yamaha MT-03, KTM 390 Duke, and the BMW G 310 R once it is launched here in India.
