- Bookings for Tuono 457 begin
- Online bookings will begin soon
- Deliveries likely to start from February
A few dealers in Maharashtra have started accepting bookings for the Aprilia Tuono 457. However, none of these dealers know the exact date of the official launch.
Some of these dealers mentioned that the wholesale billing of the Tuono 457 is about to start in a few days which means the official price reveal will likely take place within the next two to three weeks. The dealers have started accepting bookings for the bike at Rs 10,000 and are promising deliveries in February.
The Aprilia RS 457 and the Tuono 457 share the same underpinnings. The chassis, the frame, the wheels and even the brakes are shared between these bikes. The 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor puts out close to 47bhp and 43.5Nm of peak torque and is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The Tuono too could benefit from a bi-directional quickshifter but as an optional accessory. In the features department, this street bike gets a traction control system, ride modes, ABS and a colour TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity. It also gets LED lights all over. The Tuono 457 rides on preload adjustable USD front forks and a monoshock while the braking duties are done by a single disc at both ends. These are mounted on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 will compete with the proven KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310R, and even the slow-selling Yamaha MT-03.
