•Powered by a 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin
•Features LED illumination, TFT, and more
•Likely to debut in India at the IBW 2024
Aprilia has finally unveiled the much-awaited Tuono 457 at the EICMA 2024. This is the second offering from the Italian bikemaker after the RS 457 on the same platform. Here is what the Tuono 457 looks like.
Unlike the RS 457, the Aprilia Tuono 457’s front end looks a little polarizing. It houses a vertically stacked LED headlight setup with LED DRLs on the sides. Apart from that, the Tuono also gets large fuel tank extensions with the mainframe and engine casing exposed. Similar to the RS, the Tuono 457 also gets an underbelly exhaust setup.
Powering the Aprilia Tuono 457 will be the same 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. For reference, the RS dishes 46.9bhp and 43.5Nm and the Tuono too is expected to get the same output figures. The motor will be linked to a six-speed gearbox and is expected to get a quickshifter as well.
On the feature front, the Tuono seems to get LED illumination, a TFT with smartphone connectivity, traction control, ABS modes, engine maps, and more. Its hardware includes USD front forks likely with preload adjustability, and a monoshock. Its braking duties are done by a single front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS. These are mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels.
Aprilia is likely to unveil the Tuono 457 at the India Bike Week 2024 in Goa. Once launched, it will rival the KTM 390 Duke, Yamaha MT-03, and BMW G 310 R.
