Aprilia will soon launch its new middleweight roadster motorcycle, the Tuono 660 in the international markets. The motorcycle is likely to reach the Indian market too, although the official details are not available yet. While we await those details, here’s a detailed image gallery of the new Aprilia Tuono 660.
The Tuono 660 will be sold in three colours – Concept Black, Iridium Grey, and Acid Gold.
The new Tuono 660 packs a similar front fascia as the Aprilia RS600. Thus, the motorcycle comes with a triple LED headlamp unit with DRL lights. Other styling features include a muscular fuel tank, underbelly exhaust, and a step-up seat.
The motorcycle features a die-cast aluminium frame and swingarm. It tips the weighing scale at 183kg (kerb weight).
The Tuono 660 gets Kayaba-sourced adjustable suspension setup. The hardware includes upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock. The braking tasks are handled by twin discs at the front and a single rotor at the back.
Unlike the RS660, the Tuono 660 features upright ergonomics. The city-friendly ergonomics have been achieved through a high handlebar. The chassis architecture measurements, too, differentiate the Tuono 660 from the RS 660.
Mechanical specifications include a 660cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor that features a 270-degree firing order. The engine is tuned to produce 95bhp of maximum power. The final drive is shorter than that of the RS 660. The Tuono 660 uses the engine as a stressed member.
The electronics package includes Ride-by-Wire electronic accelerator, five riding modes, traction control, ABS, anti-wheelie control, cruise control, engine brake, and selectable engine maps.
