- Tuono 660 revealed in concept form
- Shares the 660cc engine from RS660
- Will make its debut next year as 2021 model
While the world went gaga over the Aprilia RS660, the manufacturer had another trick up its sleeve in the form of the Tuono 660 concept. Yes, you read that right, this perfectly ripe looking motorcycle is a concept and will make its debut only next year as a 2021 model. Now the Tuono 660 is a streetfighter based on the RS660 that was unveiled recently. It gets a half-fairing but sports the same split-LED headlamp as its faired counterpart. The Tuono 660 offers an upright riding position courtesy the raised, single-piece handlebar, a short windscreen and a rather comfortable-looking pillion seat. Moreover, the tail section isn’t as sharp as the RS660 either.
The Tuono 660 will use the same 660cc, parallel-twin motor from the supersport. However, this motor produces 95bhp; 5bhp lesser than the RS660. But Aprilia assures us that it will be strapped with the entire load of electronic wizardy which consists of traction control, wheelie control, cornering ABS, engine brake control, and five ride modes. We can expect the Aprilia Tuono 660 to makes its way to India a few months after its global unveil at next year’s EICMA.
