Italian exhaust specialist Arrow Special Parts has introduced a wide range of exhaust systems for the 2015 BMW S1000RR. The new line-up includes nine slip-on silencers and four ‘Competition’ full exhaust systems, which offer a bump in performance as well as a sweeter exhaust note for the 199 horsepower litre-class superbike.
Arrow offers the exhaust systems with the option of titanium, carbon fibre or stainless steel end cans, with carbon-end caps and a DBkiller. The new slip-on line-up features the traditional X-Kone silencer, Race-Tech kits which get the option of aluminium, titanium and a carbon fibre end can as well as new GP2 silencers. The Competition systems are short underbelly exhaust systems and are available with the manifold, titanium link pipe and the end can.
As BMW recently announced that they won’t be introducing an HP4 version of the S1000RR, this year, motorcycling enthusiasts will have to make do with aftermarket modifications like this exhaust system. These exhaust systems not only improve the power figures, but also reduce the overall weight of the motorcycle and add an aesthetic appeal to the motorcycle. Currently, Triumph is the only manufacturer which sells Arrow exhaust systems for its motorcycles in India, though we do expect other manufacturers to follow suit.
