About a month ago, Ather Energy launched its most expensive and powerful electric scooter offering, the 450 Apex in India. It sits above all the other 450 offerings from the brand and is also a limited edition model. However, the availability of the 450 Apex will be limited to a certain period instead of a specific number of units.
The asking price for the Ather 450 Apex is set at Rs. 1,89,000 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) and its deliveries will commence next week. The first batch will arrive in Goa, Pune, and Bengaluru and the test rides too will commence during the same period. While the 450 Apex gets the same design as the other scooters in Ather’s lineup, it comes draped in transparent side panels coloured Blue with a fluorescent orange chassis.
Powering the Ather 450 Apex is a 7kW motor linked to a 3.7kWh battery. The brand claims that the 450 Apex gets a top speed of 100kmph and a 157 km-certified range. Moreover, Ather has loaded it with features. The suit includes Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, Sport, Warp, and Warp Plus. The latter is a new addition introduced with the 450 Apex. Then, Ather has also loaded the scooter with a bevy of features like full LED illumination, a seven-inch touchscreen TFT with smartphone connectivity, dashboard auto-brightness, park assist, hill hold, auto indicator cut-off, coasting regenerative braking, and Magic Twist. Ather says that the Magic Twist is a more advanced version of the regenerative braking feature that allows the rider to come to a complete halt even with a 100 percent charge.
Last but not least, the 450 Apex’s asking price of Rs. 1.89 lakh is exclusive of the subsidy. Ather Energy provides a five-year or 60,000km battery warranty for the 450 Apex.
