The Ather 450 Apex was launched in January 2024 at Rs 1.89 lakh, ex-showroom, Bengaluru. Six months down the line the company has raised the price of the electric scooter by Rs 6,000 and it’ll now set you back by Rs 1.95 lakh.
The Ather 450 Apex continues to be the most expensive electric scooter in the company’s portfolio. Also, as the name suggests, it is the most powerful and hence the fastest Ather to date. It is powered by a 7kW electric motor and has a 3.7kWh battery.
The company claims that the scooter accelerates from 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds and hits a top speed of 100kmph, which is 10kmph more than the 450X.
Visually, the Ather 450 Apex has the same design as the rest of the 450-series scooters. Except for the bright blue colour with the orange wheels and transparent side panels that gives one an unrestricted view of the scooter’s subframe.
Ather has equipped the 450 Apex with six ride modes – Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, Sport, Warp, and Warp Plus. The latter is a new mode. In terms of features, you’ve got a seven-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.
As for the hardware, the scooter has a telescopic fork and a monoshock, while braking duties are taken care of by a 200mm front disc and a 190mm rear disc.
At Rs 1.95 lakh, the Ather 450 Apex is a rather expensive scooter but since it is available in limited numbers it also is a collectors item. The scooter goes up against the Ola S1 Pro which is significantly cheaper than the Ather 450 Apex at Rs 1.30 lakh, ex-showroom, Bangalore.
