Ather Energy has been teasing the 450 Apex electric scooter for some time and the company will finally launch the scooter on January 6.
The Ather 450 Apex, as the name suggests, will be the top-spec scooter in the 450 portfolio and the teasers suggest that this scooter will offer the best performance of any Ather scooter yet. This is evident from the Warp+ mode that the company is teasing, suggesting that it will be quicker than the 450X with the Warp mode. Besides the expectedly quicker acceleration, the scooter may also hit a higher top speed than what the speedometer indicated 90kph the current scooter manages.
A closer look at the teaser also reveals the silhouette of the scooter and it doesn’t look like Ather has made any tweaks to the design. What we can then expect to see is different colours as well as painted wheels to make the scooter appear bolder than the rest of the 450 range.
The equipment list should include everything that the 450X gets, such as the colour TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity and the recently updated navigation system.
It goes without saying that Ather is expected to price the 450 Apex much higher than the Ather 450X with the 3,7kWh battery that currently sells at Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) which also includes the Pro Pack.
The Ather 450 Apex will go up against the Ola S1 Pro.
