Ather Energy has announced a massive price cut on the 450 Plus in Maharashtra. The state-level subsidy brings the ex-showroom (Maharashtra) price tag from Rs 1.28 lakh to Rs 1.04 lakh. While the company is yet to update it website with the revised prices, Tarun Mehta, Co-founder and CEO, Ather Energy confirmed the update via his Twitter handle. Similar to the 450 Plus, the flagship 450X, too, should get a price cut.
In Maharashtra, Ather Energy operates in Mumbai, Nashik, Nagpur, and Pune. The company plans to expand its existing network within Mumbai and Pune. Moreover, it also aims to expand to a total of 27 cities in 2021.
The company’s current portfolio comprises two models – 450X and 450 Plus. These electric scooters pack features such as full-LED lighting, a touchscreen display, 22-litre boot space, reverse mode, and fast charging facility. The 450X boasts a better performance and range than the 450 Plus. The 450X also benefits from Bluetooth connectivity.
In more updates, Ather Energy is reportedly working on an affordable electric scooter that could arrive in the sub-Rs 1 lakh price bracket.
