Ather Energy recently launched its most affordable offering in India, the 450S e-scooter. It’s positioned below the 450X lineup and is priced at Rs. 1,29,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The new electric scooter is available in not one but four different colours. Let’s take a look at all of them.
You can purchase the new Ather 450S in Comsic Black, Salt Green, Space Grey and Still White. While all these options are single-tone paints, Ather has added a contrasting colour to the chassis for each of the above paint schemes. So, the Cosmic Black gets a shade of turquoise while the Salt Green comes with Red coloured chassis. Then, there’s Space Grey which gets a Yellow chassis and the Still White comes with a green unit.
Ather has powered the new 450S with a 2.9kWh battery mated to a 5.4kW motor. This setup offers a maximum range of 115km and a top speed of 90kmph. That said, the charging time for the 450S is eight hours and 36 minutes. It gets Ather’s new DeepView Display and features like LED illumination, smartphone connectivity and more. If you avail of the Pro Pack, which costs about Rs. 20,000 extra, then the features list gets even longer.
The Ather 450S rides on telescopic front forks and a monoshock. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises a single front and rear disc with combined and regenerative braking. The setup is mounted on 12-inch alloys wrapped in 90/90 front and 100/80 rear tubeless tyres.
