Ather Energy has announced that it has commenced the deliveries of the new 450X in Delhi. The first unit of the premium electric scooter in Delhi was delivered to Dr Pawan Munjal, Chairman and CEO, Hero MotoCorp. The vehicle was handed over by Tarun Mehta, Co-founder and CEO, Ather Energy. Hero MotoCorp currently holds nearly 35% of shares in the Bengaluru based electric vehicle maker.
The Ather 450X has been priced at Rs 1,27,916 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The premium electric scooter packs features such as a seven-inch touchscreen console with Bluetooth and a 4G SIM connectivity, navigation, on-board diagnostics, over-the-air updates, auto-indicator off and guide-me-home lights. The latest, Atherstack Atom update brings the Bluetooth based music and call feature on the Ather 450X.
The scooter features four riding modes – Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp. The modes affect the acceleration and the range of the Ather 450X. The Warp mode offers the fastest acceleration, clocking 0-40kmph in 3.3 seconds.
