Ather Energy has revamped its electric scooter portfolio by introducing two new configurations of the 450X. The variants will include the standard Ather 450X and Ather 450X Pro-Pack, and the prices start from Rs. 98,183 onwards (ex-showroom Delhi).
How different are the two configurations of the Ather 450X?
Both variants of the Ather 450X feature identical specifications. Thus, these electric scooters boast a peak power output of 6.4kW and 26Nm of torque. The zero to 40kmph acceleration takes 3.3 seconds, while the top speed is rated at 90kmph. The base model features a single ride mode, while the Pro-Pack version comes with five modes – Warp, Sport, Ride, Eco, and SmartEco.
Meanwhile, the battery capacity and certified true range are rated at 3.7kWh and 146km, respectively. The range on the Pro-Pack variant varies depending on the selected ride mode. However, the Pro-Pack version benefits from faster charging speeds and access to Ather Grid fast charging network. The Ather 450X with the Pro-Pack also gets Google Maps, Bluetooth connectivity, Ather Connect Pro features, auto hold, and reverse assist functions.
The vehicle and charger warranty is identical for both configurations (three years/30,000km). However, the battery warranty is rated at three years/30,000km for the standard model and five years/60,000km for the Pro-Pack variant.
Do the two configurations of Ather 450X feature different hardware?
The hardware is identical in both configurations, and the 450X uses telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to handle the suspension duties. The braking setup comprises disc brakes on both wheels and the claimed braking distance (60-0kmph) is rated at 28.6-metres. The safety net comprises a combined braking system and a side-stand motor cut-off function. In fact, the dimensions, too, are identical on both configurations, and the Ather 450X boasts a seat height of 780mm, a water wading limit of 300mm, and a kerb weight of 111.6kg. The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels that are shod in 90/90-section front and 100/80-section rear tubeless tyres.
What features are available on the Ather 450X?
The standard feature list across both versions includes full-LED lighting, 22-litre under-seat storage space, an aluminium pillion grab rail, Snapdragon 212 Quadcore 1.3Ghz processor, 16GB storage, 2GB RAM, Android OS, and a seven-inch touchscreen display. The Pro-Pack version further benefits from a multi-colour dashboard user interface, 4G connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, controls for music and calls, auto indicator off, guide-me-home lights, tyre pressure monitoring system, and adaptive screen brightness with multiple themes. With Ather Connect features, the Pro-Pack version gets onboard maps and navigation, document storage, connected mobile application, OTA updates, ride statistics, location tracking, and remote charge monitoring.
What are the prices of the Ather 450X range?
The standard model is available at Rs. 98,183, while the Pro-Pack version is priced at Rs. 1,28,443 (both ex-showroom, Delhi, including state subsidy). Notably, these prices are inclusive of a home charger. Both variants are available in six colours – Space Grey, Still White, Salt Green, True Red, Cosmic Black, and Lunar Grey.
