- Ather ties up with Vaidya Energy
- First international expansion
- Showroom will be opened in Kathmandu
Ather Energy has made its first international foray. The brand has launched the 450X electric scooter in Nepal.
The Bengaluru-based company has joined hands with Vaidya Energy, a subsidiary of a leading industrial conglomerate in Nepal. A single showroom has been established in Kathmandu and will be open to the public next month. The company will sell the 450X range of scooters through this setup, but the pricing is yet to be revealed.
Ather currently offers 450X in two battery options – 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh. Both these variants offer different performance and riding ranges. The feature lists differ, too, but all the features are made available with the Pro Pack. However, the pricing for the pro pack is relatively high, which makes these variants quite expensive.
There have been rumours of Ather launching a special edition of the 450X, which will likely happen in the next few days. This variant could cater to the festive season when the demand for two-wheelers is always high.
