Ather Energy has altered its electric scooter range and now the only model on sale from the Bengaluru-based brand is the 450X. Although the previously available 450 Plus has been pulled off the shelves, Ather has introduced a new offering called the Pro Pack.
What features does the Ather 450X Pro Pack get?
The 450X Pro Pack comes with all the features that 450X has. So, you get the same five riding modes (Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp), fast charging, reverse mode, hill hold, and multi-colour dashboard with Bluetooth, music, calls display, guide-me-home lights, and auto-indicator off. Ather also offers the 450X Pro Pack’s battery with a five-year/60,000km warranty.
Meanwhile, other features, like TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), onboard navigation, document storage, smartphone connectivity, OTA updates, and remote charge monitoring, among others have also been carried over.
How much range does the Ather 450X Pro Pack offer?
Ather has left the hardware bits unchanged with this new variant. So, the 6.4kW motor with 90kmph of top speed is the same as before. Even the 3.7kWh battery with a claimed range of 105km (Eco mode) remains unaltered. Then, charging it completely using a regular charger takes five hours and 20 minutes.
Are there any hardware changes for the Ather 450X Pro Pack?
The company has only altered the 450X Pro Pack scooter’s software bits. So, the telescopic front forks, monoshock at the rear, front and rear disc brakes, and alloy wheels remain unchanged. It also retains the combined braking system as well as the regenerative braking.
How does the Pro Pack differ from the standard 450X?
The two models only vary in terms of features and charging time. So, the base model, 450 Plus, misses out on all the above-mentioned features and needs a longer charging time. On the other hand, design, hardware, brakes, and suspension are the same. By skimping out the features on the 450X, Ather has been able to price it notably lower than the Pro Pack model.
What’s the asking price for both the Ather 450X models?
The asking price is now set at Rs. 98,183 for the 450X. The Pro Pack costs about Rs. 30,000 more, thereby bringing the total price to Rs. 1,28,443 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi, inclusive of state subsidy and FAME II).
