- 450 contributed 99 per cent sales
- Introduces eco model on 450 variant
Ather Energy has discontinued the 340 model from the Indian market. The company released this information through its social media channels.
The Bengaluru-based company said that 99 per cent of their customers prefer the 450 model. This variant offers more performance and features, and is priced a few thousand rupees more than the 350. While both the variants are powered by the same BLDC electric motor, the 450 made a bit more power. The 450 has a bigger battery pack too, resulting into a more riding range. The 340 churned out 60kms in Eco and 50kms in ride mode.
Ather has also announced a new ‘Eco’ mode feature for the 450. As per the company, this new feature is being rolled out to all its 450 customers through over-the-air update. Once installed, the scooter will be able to do 75kms in ‘Eco’ mode. With this new feature, the 450 is now equipped with three riding modes- eco, sport and ride.
