Ather Energy has set up its second experience centre in Bengaluru in association with BIA Ventures auto retailer. The objective of this facility is to educate the visitors about electric vehicles while handling sales and service of its offerings, the 450X and the 450 Plus. Interested customers can also test ride the scooters here. Notably, Bengaluru is the first city to receive multiple Ather experience centres.
The Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler maker claims to have witnessed nearly 30 times more demand since January this year. With the new shop, it aims to make it convenient for South Bengaluru residents to experience and purchase the Ather electric scooters. Besides two experience centres, the company also has 33 fast-charging stations set up across strategic locations in the city.
On a different note, the prices of the Ather 450X and the 450 Plus have recently gone down by as much as Rs 14,500 courtesy of the revisions in the FAME II subsidy for electric vehicles. The subsidy amount has been hiked by as much as 50 per cent from the previous Rs 10,000 per kWh to Rs 15,000 per kWh. Resultantly, the 450X is now priced at Rs 1,44,500 while the 450 Plus costs Rs 1,25,490 (both prices are ex-showroom).
