Ather Energy, the Bengaluru based start-up known for the S340 electric scooter has just launched charging infrastructure in Bengaluru.
The company has named this property AtherGrid. 30 charging points will be set up in Bengaluru by the end of May. This charging points will go all the way to 60 by the end of the year. The company claims that once the charging infrastructure is in place, there will be a charging station within 4kms from any point in the city.
AtherGrid can be used by all electric vehicles, be it two-wheelers or four-wheelers. In fact, the company is offering charging via Athergrid free of charge for the next six months. The user needs to download a smartphone application through which one can monitor charging status and also has the payment options.
