Ather Energy has decided to address the slow charging woes of the 450X base variant customers. The company is offering its famous Dot chargers to these customers at a discounted price.
Currently, it takes about 14-15 hours for the base variant of the electric scooter to charge from 0 to 100 per cent. This duration is ridiculously long, but Ather had to offer such a variant to upsell its more expensive Pro variant. Now, the company is providing the Dot charger at a discounted rate of Rs. 7,500.
The Dot charger needs to be mounted in the home parking spot. It is not portable and must be fixed at one location permanently. It allows the customer to charge the 450X within five hours. Thus, it makes sense to purchase the Dot charger at this price, but sadly, this offer is valid for a limited time only. Also, the Dot charger will only charge the original owner’s e-scooter. It comes with a system where no one else can use the charger.
