- Bharat FIH will exclusively produce battery management system, dashboard and other parts for Ather Energy
Ather Energy has joined forces with Bharat FIH (A Foxconn Technology Group Company) to meet the increasing volume demand of the Ather 450 e-scooter.
Bharat FIH will be the exclusive manufacturer of printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies for battery management systems, dashboard assembly, peripheral controlling units, and drive control modules. Not just that, the aforementioned firm will also look after the supply chain and logistics for Ather Energy.
The Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer is also working on scaling up the production volume from 1.2 lakh units to 4 lakh units annually. Moreover, in the next three years, Ather Energy aims to get the production numbers to a million units per annum.
On the other hand, Ather Energy is also working on installing 5,000 chargers across the country and establishing 600 stores. As of now, there are only 30 outlets in India. In its recent sales report, Ather claims to have sold 2042 scooters last month.
