Ather Energy has begun deliveries of the Rizta electric scooter in India. The CEO of Ather Energy, Tarun Mehta put up a post on social media platforms, announcing the same. At present, deliveries of the Ather Rizta have begun in Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Agra, Jaipur, Nagpur and Andhra Pradesh. The company will start deliveries in other cities soon.
The Ather Rizta is the company’s first family-oriented electric scooter that is based on the Ather 450X. The Rizta is available in two variants- S and Z.
The Rizta has a far more conventional design in comparison to the Ather 450-series scooters. The body panels are larger and have a flatter design, the seat is considerably longer and that also translates to a lot of underseat storage space. Ather has blended form and function very well.
The Rizta has two battery sizes, depending on the variant, the S is the base variant and has a 2.9kWh battery. The Z, on the other hand, can be had with a 2.9kWh battery and a 3.7kWh battery which offers a true range of 125km.
The Ather Rizta Z comes with a 7-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. It has a different UI to the 450X. The Rizta S gets the 'deepview' LCD display that's seen on the Ather 450S. Other features include Smart Eco and Zip modes as well as traction control system.
Prices of the Ather Rizta begins at Rs 1.12 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
