- FADA requests for 2 months sale extension
- Business hit badly due to Coronavirus
- Sales drop by 70 per cent
The Federation of Automobiles Dealers Association (FADA) has approached the Supreme Court requesting it to allow sale of BS4 vehicles for an additional two months post April 1st 2020 deadline.
FADA says that due to huge unsold BS4 inventory and slowing sales, there has been a drastic change in circumstances in conducting business as usual. There has been a drastic drop of almost 70 per cent across the dealerships in the last few days due to Coronavirus. The situation is expected to get much worse in the next few days as a lot of cities are planning for partial shutdown to protect its citizens.
FADA has requested the Supreme Court to allow the sale and registration of BS4 vehicles till 31st May 2020 in order to avoid many dealership shutdowns. It hopes to get an urgent hearing in the Supreme Court for this matter.
