Benelli has displayed the Leoncino 800 at the Auto Expo 2023 in India. We got up close to the Chinese middleweight and here’s what it looks like.
Similar to its smaller siblings, the Leoncino 800 also has a brawny design. The LED headlight, muscular fuel tank, exposed chassis, and overall chunky proportions give the bike quite some presence. It’s powered by a 754cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder motor dishing out 75bhp and 64Nm. The engine, meanwhile, is mated to a six-speed gearbox and packed inside a trellis frame.
On the feature front, Benelli has equipped the Leoncino with a fully digital display. It packs all the essential readouts like the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, gear position indicator, and more. The Leoncino 800 rides on USD front forks and a monoshock. And the braking hardware comprises dual 320mm front discs and a single 260mm rear disc with ABS. It has 17-inch alloys wrapped in 120/70 front and 180/55 rear tires.
As of now, Benelli India only offers the Leoncino 500 for our market. And if it launches the 800 here, we expect it to cost significantly more that the 500.
