- Gets a 223cc, single-cylinder engine
- Will compete against TVS Ronin, Kawasaki W175
- Bookings open for Rs 2,000
Keeway has launched the SR250 in India as its second offering in the ‘SR’ range. The retro-style motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.49 lakh, ex-showroom which puts it in direct contention with the TVS Ronin, Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the Kawasaki W175 as well.
Powering the SR250 is a 223cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 16bhp and 16Nm. Moreover, the motorcycle is also lightweight, tipping the scales at just 120kg with its 14.2-litre fuel tank filled to the brim. Just like its smaller sibling, the SR125, the SR250 comes with a vintage style bodywork and sports a round headlamp, ribbed pattern for the brown seat, fork gaiters and spoke wheels.
While telescopic forks and dual-shocks at the rear comprise suspension hardware whereas braking is done by a 300mm front disc and 210mm rear disc. Its feature list too isn’t particularly modern and has a semi-analogue instrument cluster and dual-channel ABS.
Now, Keeway is accepting bookings for a token amount of Rs 2,000 with deliveries expected to begin sometime in February.
