- Matter Motors showcases new variant
- Gets bigger battery pack
- To be launched next month
Ahemdabad-based startup Matter Motors showcased two of its electric motorcycles at the Auto Expo 2023. While the motorcycle had already been revealed, the brand has added a new variant to the list.
This new variant gets a 6kWh battery pack that is bigger than the standard 5kWh unit. It continues to come with the Integrated Intelligent Thermal Management System which is essentially a liquid-cooling technology. Now, the battery packs are powered by a 10.5kW electric motor that is claimed to push out 520Nm. Interestingly, it comes mated to a four-speed manual gearbox. Matter says that the range will vary between 125km and 150km, depending on the variant.
That said, the Matter e-motorcycle comes with features like full-LED lighting, storage space and a smart mobile charging port as well. It also gets a seven-inch that packs in 4G connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Android software and shows info like gear position, ride mode, navigation, calls and media.
Now the only bit of detail that remains is the pricing of the motorcycle which the company is expected to announce in the first half of February. When it is launched, the Matte e-motorcycle will go up against the Revolt RV400 and the Oben Rorr.
