Avantura Choppers, which calls itself as the first production chopper motorcycle brand from India, has launched their first two models; the Rudra and Pravega. While the Rudra is priced at Rs 23.9 lakhs while the Pravega costs Rs 21.4 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The motorcycles are made-to-order, and the company will start accepting bookings after their debut at the India Bike Week, this November.
Both bikes are ARAI certified and consist of parts sourced from global manufacturers. The bikes are based on the same platform are powered by a 2000cc V-twin engine sourced from American engine specialists, S&S Engines. The bikes feature Beringer brake setup, Primo suspension, Mustang seats, Kellerman lights and Avon tyres.
The Rudra is 2908mm in length and has a 17-litre fuel tank capacity. The bike weighs 344kg (kerb). The Pravega on the other hand, is a tad shorter in length at 2627mm. The bike weighs 347kg and has a bigger 21-litre fuel tank.
The Rudra and Pravega are aimed at riders who look at motorcycles as lifestyle products. The leisure motorcycling segment might still be in its nascent stage, but has been rapidly growing in the last few years.
