Bajaj Motorcycles claims that it is close to achieving its sales target of 2.4million units for the current financial year. In order to show a continuous year-on-year growth, the Pune- based manufacturer is aiming to grow by 25 per cent in the 2014-2015 financial year.
The company is betting big in the 125cc segment as it contributes to 1.6 lakh units per month. It has completed its offering in the segment with the launch of the new Discover 125 and will discontinue the old Discover 125 over a period of time when the sales decline.
"We are aiming and hope to reach 3 million units nationally and in east also we will target higher growth for 2014-15," said Prasad Vaze, general manager, east region, Bajaj Motorcycles.
"With the new launch of Discover 125, we completed the offering in the 125cc segment targeting price-sensitive 125cc segment. We already have full range in the 100cc. With better market outlook, we hope to grow healthy," he added.
