Bajaj Auto has bounced back by recording a two per cent growth in the domestic market in November 2017 as compared to the corresponding period in the last year. In October, the company had witnessed a one per cent drop in sales numbers.
Bajaj sold 1.41 lakh two-wheelers in the domestic market in the last month, retaining its position as the country’s fourth largest two-wheeler manufacturer. As for the global markets, Bajaj continues to enjoy a strong demand. It exported 1.22 lakh motorcycles in the last month, translating into a 25 per cent growth as compared to November 2016. Overall, Bajaj’s motorcycle sales grew by 11 per cent.
While the company’s growth has been in the negative for a major chunk of this year, we can expect the numbers to keep growing hereon. Last month, Bajaj added another feather to its cap, as the cumulative sales of the Pulsar crossed 1 crore units. The Pulsar continues to be the highest selling 150cc motorcycle in the country, with over 40,000 unit sales every month. However, the biggest cash cow for the company is its commuter bike, the CT100.
