If you own a Bajaj Avenger Street or Cruise and have been yearning to go on a long ride with a group, there's some good news for you. Bajaj has announced the schedule of the Avenger FLG Rides Cruising Season 2017-18.
The manufacturer organises long-distance trips under the format named FLG (Feel Like God). This is a part of the Avenger FLG Rides Cruising Season 2017-2018, which will be a round-the-year initiative. Bajaj Avenger owners can gain membership into the riding club named The Avenger Gods (TAG). This TAG community of Avenger riders will then ride together to different destinations around India.
The first Avenger FLG Ride will begin on June 24 this year, which is the season opener ride to Spiti valley in Himachal Pradesh. In all, there will be 40 rides across the country to 17 destinations covering more than 20,000km this season. This pan-India riding community initiative will take Avenger owners to different locations according to the riding calendar mentioned below. This includes scenic locations like Leh, Yumthang Valley, Jaisalmer, Yercaud and Goa, among others.
Bajaj began this riding initiative last year on June 21 to commemorate World Motorcycle day. Apart from the TAG community of Avenger riders, the manufacturer also initiated an exclusive club for Pulsar owners. Last year, these rides ranged from simple Sunday morning breakfast runs to long distance weekend trips. This year, all the rides planned are long distance trips, which will offer more experiences than just riding. This includes bird watching, paragliding, elephant rides, lion safaris, parasailing, forest treks and cave visits to name a few.
Of course, Bajaj doesn't demand for any fee to join the TAG club. However, more details about other costs on each ride will be shared by Bajaj soon. Every ride planned will be accompanied by a support vehicle and a certified paramedic with medical equipment. Bajaj will make sure all the riders have adequate riding gear on the professionally-supervised group rides, complete with service and emergency support.
Sumeet Narang, Vice President, (Marketing), Bajaj Auto said, “Long distance group riding has gained tremendous momentum in recent years across India. Avenger brand embodies ‘Liberation’ and these FLG rides symbolize that value in the best way possible. It further helps the riders to get the best experience out of their Avengers. With Avenger FLG Rides, we want to encourage our valuable customers to experience the feeling of liberation in riding to the most breathtaking destinations. Avenger FLG has been uniquely designed with resources and infrastructure that promotes group riding in a safe and professional manner.”
