Bajaj has launched new Black edition variants for select Pulsar models as a commemoration of the roll out of 1 crore Pulsar motorcycles. Available for the Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180 and the Pulsar 220F, the black edition models get unique decals and a few other cosmetic changes.
For starters, the Black edition models feature a black paint scheme with contrasting white alloy wheels. The bodywork features silver decals with a red stripe. Even the engine case is painted in silver. The Pulsar 150 and 180 feature a chrome exhaust heat shield while the one in the Pulsar 220F is painted in black. There are no mechanical changes in these bikes.
The Pulsar brand was launched in India in 2001 as the moniker for a sporty 150cc commuter bike, although the brand has now spread out to various displacement motorcycles. The Pulsar 150 is currently the highest selling 150cc commuter bike in India, and has contributed greatly towards achieving the milestone of 1 crore units in sales. The Black edition models retail at the same prices as their standard counterparts. The Pulsar 150 costs Rs 76,224, the Pulsar 180 retails at Rs 81,151 while the Pulsar 220F is priced at Rs 93,185.
