- Sherco TVS’ Michael Metge completed Day 1 of the rally in P1 followed by Lorenzo Santolino in P7

With the 36th edition of the Baja Aragon Rally commenced, Day 1 of the rally turned out to be fruitful for Sherco TVS Factory Team. Participating this time with a squad of five riders, Dakar veteran Michael Metge successfully managed to complete Day 1 of the rally in top position. He was followed by Lorenzo Santolino, who manage to finish in seventh position and Harith Noah in the eighth position. Aishwarya Pissay, who is participating for the first time in the rally, was able to secure P38 at the end of Day 1. Although, these four riders were able to complete the entire length on Day 1, the fifth rider, Aaravind KP, crashed towards the end of the second super stage causing him to retire from the rally.
On the other hand, it was a mixed result for Hero MotoSports Team Rally, which was debuting in the Baja Aragon rally. The team's rider, CS Santosh, managed a top 10 finish on Day 1, who rode strong throughout the 250 km distance covered on Day 1. His teammate, Joaquim Rodriques, unfortunately, met with an accident at the start of the stage resulting in injuries and damage to the bike as well. Despite the injuries, Rodriques continued to ride further but keeping safety as a priority, opted to forfeit from the stage. However, he will regroup with the team and participate on Day 2 of the rally.
Day 1 of the rally saw the riders cover a total distance of 250kms. The stage comprised of two super stages. The first one, spanning over 86kms started from Banon and finished near the Rally Head Quarters in Teruel. The second stage was long, covering over 165 kms. It began at Santa Eulalia and ended at Teruel.
