SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) recently released the sales numbers for the two-wheeler market of India for January 2023. And in this story, we’ve listed Bajaj Auto’s motorcycle sales for the last month.
The Chakan-based manufacturer has witnessed quite polarising figures for its lineup. The maximum sales for Bajaj came from its smallest Pulsar range which includes the Pulsar 125 and NS 125. These two models registered 49,527 units combined followed by the brand’s smallest commuter on sale – the Platina 100 and Platina 110 – with a total sale of 41,873 bikes.
Model | Cumulative Sales in January 2023 |
Pulsar 125 and Pulsar NS 125 | 49,527 units |
Platina 100 and Platina 110 | 41,873 units |
N160, NS160, RS 200, and NS 200 | 17,337 units |
Pulsar 150 and Pulsar P150 | 16,970 units |
CT 110X | 2,929 units |
CT 125X | 2,272 units |
Avenger Street 160 | 1,701 units |
Dominar 250 | 616 units |
Dominar 400 | 586 units |
Pulsar N250 and F250 | 445 units |
Avenger 220 Cruise | 375 units |
The third spot for the maximum sales in the Bajaj portfolio was taken by the Pulsar N160, NS 160, RS200, and NS200. These four models fetched a total of 17,337 buyers combined. Meanwhile, the 150 twins (Pulsar 150 and P150) clocked 16,970 unit sales together last month. Last but not least, the CT110X and CT125X brought in 2,929 and 2,272 new buyers respectively in January 2023. All said and done, Bajaj’s larger bikes like the Avenger Cruise 220, Pulsar N250 and F250, Dominar 250, and the Dominar 400 witnessed comparatively lower sales as neither of them crossed the 1,000 unit mark.
That said, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F could be back on the shelf very soon as select dealers have commenced the booking process for it. This revival could help Bajaj with its domestic sales here in India.
