- Bajaj Fluor and Fluir trademark registered
- Both trademarks were applied on 19 Feb 2021
- Trademark certificate does not reveal details about the new products
Bajaj Auto seems to be on a spree lately. The company had recently launched the new Pulsar NS125 and also introduced the new Dagger Edge Edition for the Pulsar 150, 180 and the 220F. Now, the company has registered a trademark for Fluor and Fluir.
It is too early to comment on the new product as the trademark certificate does not reveal any details about it. However, we can expect the brand to consider names for either a new electric motorcycle, a new ICE motorcycle or a new service. It is highly unlikely for the brand to consider it for an electric scooter as they already have the Chetak EV in their portfolio.
The company will first look at streamlining the supply chain of the Chetak electric that has been disrupted ever since COVID-19 struck last year. This also resulted in its prices hiking massively over the last two months. Furthermore, Bajaj might focus on expanding the Chetak’s dealership reach first before introducing another product under the same banner. It is only available in Pune and Bengaluru as of now, but Bajaj aims to extend its availability to twenty-four other cities across India by 2022.
