- Spotted at a dealership warehouse.
- Equipped with single-channel ABS.
- To be launched in early 2019 with slight increase in price.
Bajaj's cruiser motorcycle, the Avenger 220 has been spotted at a dealership warehouse equipped with an ABS unit.
This unit is a single-channel system similar to the ones on its siblings, the NS200 and RS200. Apart from this, the Avenger 220 ABS appears to remain the same as the standard variant. It will continue to be powered by a 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that produces 19bhp and 17.5Nm of torque.
And while the ABS unit has been spotted on the Avenger 220 Cruise , it will undoubtedly also be available in Avenger 220 Street model. We expect the ABS equipped bikes to be launched in January 2019 and cost a premium of around Rs 10,000-Rs 12,000 from the current model's Rs 96,222 (ex-showroom, Delhi) price tag. The Avenger 220 ABS models will compete against the Suzuki Intruder 150 which is already equipped with an ABS unit as option.
