- No cosmetic or mechanical upgrades to the motorcycles
Bajaj Auto has announced a price increase for several models in the Indian market. Among the list of models that are affected by this price revision are the Avenger motorcycles, the 220 Cruise, and the 160 Street. Post the price increase, the Avenger 220 Cruise is available at Rs 1,31,046 as against Rs 1,26,995 previously. The Avenger 160 Street is now listed at Rs 1,07,309 as against Rs 1,03,699 earlier. The company had also revised the prices for these motorcycles in January this year.
This price revision does not bring any mechanical or cosmetic changes to the motorcycles. The Avenger 220 Cruise continues to use a 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor that produces 18.76bhp of power and 17.55Nm of peak torque. The Avenger 160 Street, on the other hand, uses a 160cc, air-cooled motor that makes 14.79bhp and 13.7Nm of peak torque.
Styling cues on the Avenger 160 Street include blacked-out components and a slightly pulled-back handlebar while the 220 Cruise features a retro look with chrome-finished elements, spoke wheels, cruiser-style handlebar, and a tall windscreen.
Apart from the Avenger series, the price revision also affects the Pulsar and the Dominar series. However, while all motorcycles have received a price increase, the Dominar 250 has become affordable by Rs 16,800.
