Bajaj Auto has launched the BS6 compliant Avenger Cruise 220 in the Indian market at Rs 1,16,672 (ex-showroom Delhi). The latest iteration of the motorcycle retains the styling and the features from its predecessor.
Thus, the Avenger Cruise 220 continues to feature a halogen headlight and a tall-windscreen at the front. The motorcycle also retains the fully-digital display that shows the ride-related information while the telltale indicators are available on the fuel tank mounted cluster. The motorcycle is available in two colours – Auburn Black and Moon White.
The latest iteration of the motorcycle is powered by a 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, twin-spark, fuel-injected engine that is tuned to deliver 18.7bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 17.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. In comparison, its predecessor made 19bhp of power and 17.5Nm of torque. The single-cylinder motor employs a five-speed gearbox.
Hardware specifications on the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 BS6 include telescopic front forks with double anti-friction bush, five-step adjustable twin springs at the rear, 280mm disc at the front, a 130mm drum brake at the back and a single-channel ABS. The low-slung saddle and rear-swept handlebar deliver relaxed riding position.
