Bajaj recently launched the Avenger 220 Cruise in its BS6 avatar in India. The cruiser-styled motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom). In a similar price range, the market offers three options to choose from. Herw is what the grid looks like-
The Intruder 150 is Suzuki’s answer to the Bajaj Avenger. The motorcycle also sports a cruiser styling that has been heavily inspired from the Suzuki Intruder M1800R. Powering the motorcycle is a 155cc, single-cylinder, ir-cooled motor that produces 13.4bhp of power and 13.8Nm of torque, and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. Suzuki has priced the Intruder 150 at Rs 1.20 lakh.
Powered by the same 155cc engine as the Intruder 150 is the Suzuki Gixxer SF. Clad in a full fairing, the Gixxer SF gets sharp lines and creases all around its bodywork. The motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.21 lakh for the standard variant while the MotoGP-inspired colour scheme costs Rs 1.22 lakh.
If you would prefer a retro-styled motorcycle, Royal Enfield has the Bullet 350 in the same priced range as the Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise. The motorcycle is offered in two variants- kickstart and self-start which are priced from Rs 1.21 lakh to Rs 1.37 lakh based on the colour option. The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 uses a 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that produces 19.1bhp of power and 28Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Interestingly, this list also includes a scooter- the Vespa Elegante 150 which is priced at Rs 1.32 lakh. The scooter is based on the VXL 150 although with additional equipment that sets it apart. The elegante 150 sports a windscreen, two-piece leather seat, perimeter guard and two exclusive colour option.
