Bajaj has launched the Avenger 220 Cruise in a new golden beige paint scheme. This colour option will be sold alongside the existing divine black paint scheme and is priced similarly to the other 220cc variants.
This new paint scheme complements the Avenger 220 Cruise’s distinctive cruiser character. The gold paint on the fender, tank and the side panels along with the healthy dose of chrome give it the quintessential look of a traditional cruiser. Under the skin, the Avenger 220 Cruise comes with the tried and tested 220cc DTS-i engine from the Pulsar 220. This single-cylinder oil-cooled mill delivers 19bhp and 17Nm of torque through a five-speed transmission. The engine has been tuned to offer better low-end and mid-range torque to improve the motorcycle’s usability in the cities.
The new Avenger range has turned out to be a hit among the Indian masses. While the Avenger 150 Street has been consistently selling more than 15,000 units a month, the 220cc variants have also captured a fair share of their market space. With this new paint scheme, Bajaj will aim to further improve the sales numbers by boosting the Avenger 220 Cruise’s classic appeal.
