Bajaj Motorcycles has updated the Avenger range with BS-IV compliant engines. The company revealed this information via the brand’s official Facebook page.
While the BS-IV norms for new two-wheelers have already been applicable from April 1, 2016, all the old bikes that are on sale currently need to get BS-IV compliant by April 1, 2017. The Avenger 150, Avenger 220 Street and 220 Cruise – all three versions get updated engines. In fact, Bajaj confirmed that these models have been on sale since Diwali.
Bajaj has increased the prices of all three models considerably. The Avenger 150 now costs Rs 1989 more at Rs 76,989 (ex-showroom Delhi). The updated Avenger Street 220 and the Cruise have been priced at Rs 87,331 (ex-showroom Delhi) – an increase of Rs 3331.
