Bajaj launched the Avenger Cruise 220 for the Indian market today. During the same launch event in Mumbai, the Pune-based manufacturer also launched the Avenger Street 220 and the Avenger 150, taking the total products under the famous Avenger brand to three. We bring you a photo gallery of the new Avenger Cruise 220.
The overall styling of the Avenger Cruise 220 reminds us of the outgoing model. However, Bajaj has added a lot of minor additions like the new handlebar, new foot peg design and contoured seat. The seat height has been increased by 15mm by adding foam thickness to the seat. This has been done for better comfort during city rides.
Just like the Avenger Street models, the Avenger Cruise 220 has been equipped with white hue headlamp for better visibility at night.
The Bajaj Avenger 220 Street is powered by the same 220 cc single-cylinder air-cooled DTS-i engine with an oil-cooler.. This engine produces 19bhp at 8,400 rpm and 17.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm.
Indians love the chrome treatment and that’s what Bajaj did with the Avenger Cruise 220. The grail rail, exhaust, rear view mirrors and the tank mounted cluster have been dipped in chrome.
The Avenger Cruise 220 gets a new big windshield which looks quite odd if you look at it from the front. There is a new Avenger logo on the fuel tank along with a new decal.
