A new spy shot has revealed that Bajaj is going to introduce a new colour for the Avenger 220 Cruise. This ‘cocktail wine red’ shade will be available alongside the existing desert gold and divine black paint schemes.
This new paint scheme complements the Avenger 220 Cruise’s distinctive cruiser character. The spy shot shows that the front fender, fuel tank, side panels and the rear section will come painted in a wine red shade. This paint along with the healthy dose of chrome on the forks, handlebar, instrument console, spoked wheels, exhaust and the suspension give the Avenger 220 Cruise the quintessential look of a traditional cruiser.
Powering the Avenger 220 Cruise is the tried and tested 220cc DTS-i engine from the Pulsar 220 DTS-i. This single-cylinder oil-cooled mill delivers 19bhp and 17Nm of torque through a five-speed transmission.
Bajaj has hit a jackpot with new Avenger range. While the Avenger 150 Street has been consistently raking in more than 15,000 units a month, the bigger 220cc variants have also made a good impact on the market. With this new paint scheme, Bajaj will aim to further improve the sales numbers by boosting the Avenger 220 Cruise’s classic appeal.
