- Bajaj Avenger Street 160 and Avenger Cruise 220 prices hiked
- Third price increment since the launch of their BS6 models
Bajaj Auto has once again increased the prices of all the models in its India portfolio. While we have already told you about the price increment received by the Pulsar range, Dominar 250 and Dominar 400, here’s an update for the prospective buyers of the Avenger. The Chakan-based bike maker has bumped the prices of the Avenger Street 160 and Avenger Cruise 220 for the third time since the launch of their BS6 models.
The smaller Street 160 version, which was previously priced at Rs 99,597, now demands a premium of Rs 1,497 and is pegged at Rs 1,01,094. On the other hand, the Cruise 220 has also received the same amount of premium. It is retailed at Rs 1,22,630, as opposed to the preceding cost of Rs 1,21,133 (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Bajaj Avenger models are the smallest and most affordable cruisers one can buy in India. The Street 160 iteration boasts of modern styling with blacked-out components and a slightly pulled-back handlebar. It is powered by a 160cc, air-cooled engine which makes 14.79bhp and 13.7Nm. Whereas, the Cruise 220 looks retro with chrome-finished elements, spoke wheels, cruiser-style handlebar and a tall windscreen. It runs a 220cc mill which churns out 18.76bhp and 17.55Nm.
In terms of body style and purpose, the Bajaj Avenger Street 160 and Avenger Cruise 220 compete against the Suzuki Intruder 150.
