Bajaj Motorcycles has introduced new colours for the Avenger Street range of cruisers. The Avenger Street 150 is now available in midnight blue and the Avenger Street 220 is available in matte wild green.
Launched late last year, all the three Avenger bikes were launched in just one colour option. The Pune-based manufacturer has the habit of launching only one or two paint schemes for its products. Offering a range of paint schemes for its bikes is a logistical nightmare for the company. Other than increase of inefficiency in its supply chain management, it also sees a cost rise in giving out more than two colours at the time of launch.
The introduction of new colours also has to do with the customer’s feedback. Bajaj keeps getting customer insight data from the dealers and this helps them take a call on new introductions. The festive season is round the corner and these new colours is sure to get more buyers into Bajaj’s showrooms.
The new cosmic red Avenger 150 Street and the new matte green Avenger 220 Street are priced at Rs 75,500 (ex-showroom Delhi) and Rs 85,497 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. Basically, Bajaj isn’t charging a rupee more for these new paint schemes.
