Bajaj Auto has commenced the bookings for its electric scooter, the Chetak in Goa. The vehicle will be sold via the KTM outlet in Mapusa and can be booked via the company’s official website for a token amount of Rs 2,000. The company has listed the Premium variant, which is the higher-spec version of the electric scooter, for Goa and it has been priced at Rs 1,44,625 (ex-showroom).
In contrast, the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is sold in two variants in other cities in India – Urbane and Premium. Both variants are powered by a 3.8kW motor that is fuelled by a non-removable 3kWh IP67 lithium-ion battery pack. The company claims a top speed of 70kmph and a range of 95km (in Eco mode). The two models are distinguished through their respective colour options and the hardware.
The Urbane trim is available in two colours – yellow and white. The Premium model, on the other hand, is available in four paint options – blue, black, red, and hazelnut with a metallic finish. In terms of hardware, the Urbane comes equipped with drum brake setup on both ends while the Premium version gets a disc brake at the front.
