- Bajaj Chetak registers sale of 91 units in March
- Available in two variants
-Prices start at Rs 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom)
The Bajaj Chetak has registered a sale of 91 units in India last month. While the scooter was launched in January, deliveries began only in March.
However, Bajaj has only commenced deliveries in Pune and Bangalore and is expected to announce a delivery timeline for other cities once the lockdown situation in the country ends. Nevertheless, Bajaj offers the Chetak in two variants- Urbane and Premium which are priced at Rs 1.12 lakh and Rs 1.29 lakh respectively. The two variants are differentiated based on their styling and braking hardware (the Premium gets a front disc brake).
Bajaj has equipped the Chetak with features like- two riding modes, a Bluetooth-enabled LCD, regenerative braking, and a system called Intelligent Braking Management which controls the charge and discharge of the IP67-rated lithium-ion battery pack. The battery is mated to a 3kWh motor that produces 16Nm of torque and offers a maximum range of 95kms.
